Innovative Practitioner

Innovative practitioners recognize the needs and support of their students even if they are not educationally based and work to meet them to support the student. If a student's hierarchy of needs is not being met or if they do not feel safe and supported in the environment then how do we expect them to learn and grow as scholars? As well as employing forward-thinking approaches to learning and teaching in a student-centered learning environment. Along with this, they practice collaboration with other professionals to best support their students learning and continue their education as well.

Gallery Wall

One of the ways I  encourage student to show their work was our Gallery Wall. When we would get done with a project, student had the option to put it up on our Gallery Wall. This way, everyone could see the amazing work they made.

Using mix media to see what they like. Paint, crayons, college, color pencils, ect.
Using oil pastels working on shapes and color
Using collage to learn about the vanishing point.
